The Obvious Office website is owned and operated by Andy Hobson, managing director of Corvus Services Ltd. Andy Hobson’s career makes him ideally suited to providing organisations with effective help. After graduation, he worked as a manager for various major businesses before joining a blue chip management consulting firm. He then returned to management, becoming a managing director, where he was involved in MBOs and a stock market flotation.

Throughout this varied career, Andy has concentrated on performance improvement. He was in the vanguard of introducing lean manufacturing techniques, and has in-depth knowledge and experience of process improvement. He has used these people-focussed methods in high-performing organisations, as well as those just starting to address performance issues and delivered extraordinary improvements in sectors as diverse as manufacturing, financial services and government agencies.

This broad range of both managerial and consultancy experience means that Andy can quickly be effective in many different environments. As a former consultant, he is able to rapidly assimilate key issues and develop solutions using modern techniques. As a former managing director, he understands the pressures senior managers are under to deliver ever-improving performance within tight timescales, often using limited resources.
